TC3 is hosting our 2nd annual workshop entitled

"Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research"

🗓️ May 27, 2026

⏰ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

📍The Conference Centre @ the University of Toronto

The workshop returns as part of the 2026 Canadian Cannabis Research Summit,

where participants from across Canada can come together, connect, collaborate

and learn from one another

Co-led by senior TC3 fellows, Dr. Justin Matheson and Dr. Catharine Mielnik, with support from Christina Pereira, this event will bring together experts, researchers, and trainees to engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities in fostering EDI in research and will spotlight the unique issues within cannabis and cannabinoid research.

Through a dynamic program, we will explore how diverse perspectives can drive innovation and create more inclusive practices in cannabis and cannabinoid research studies.

Attendees will hear from an exceptional lineup of speakers and panelists sharing their cutting-edge research and personal insights. Topics will include cannabis use and harms among historically under-represented communities, health equity perspectives on cannabis legalization, and novel approaches to understanding diversity in responses to cannabinoids.

Speakers will be announced soon!

Don’t miss this chance to engage with thought leaders and advocates working at the intersection of cannabis research and EDI! Spots for the workshop are limited so advance registration is required.
